Signscape and Signconex was given the opportunity to work with the design agency 442 Design, tasked with sourcing a robust and modern fingerpost system for the multi-million-pound Battersea Power Station development in London. “442 Design contacted us to provide the right system for the site, one that offered the ability to add new locations to an ever- changing environment at the power

station,” explains Matt. “We have been back to site multiple times to add new upgrades/ changes to the installed waypoint fingerpost system as new shops and amenities are built. With the ability to add new directions after the fingerpost is installed is one of the main benefits of the new Waypoint design and a key factor for Battersea Power Station to use this modern contemporary system.

Designed to sit in harmony with the slender and minimalist style of modern street furniture, the Waypoint fingerpost from Signscape and Signconex benefits from seamless joints and sockets and includes concealed security fixings. It has a premium and contemporary style with a strong and highly robust design, says the company.   The 20mm thick, double-skin finger arms combined with 100mm diameter round post makes it a highly robust and durable system, suitable for the rigours of large public and city centre locations. “Waypoint’s intelligent socket design provides rigid horizontal alignment (no drooping arms) even if all eight mounting positions are used per level,” says Matt Clapp. “It allows for direction adjustment per level once installed, which can prove highly valuable. “Offering the prestigious look of more expensive rivals but without the price tag, the Waypoint fingerpost while being able to offer the enhanced rigidity and vandal resistance lacking in cheaper alternatives.” With a choice of 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300mm high arms, the fingerposts also offer stylish cylindrical post finials or end caps to provide a classy finish.
